remember lumen, the beautiful oil lamp by Adam Frank? it’s got a big brother now, a projector called reveal. it is designed to create the illusion of soft shadows being cast by the sun shining through a window. definitely too beautiful for my current apartment – lucky me, considering that it runs for USD 380 and I’m broke :)

When you’re young, you look at television and think, there’s a conspiracy. The networks have conspired to dumb us down. But when you get a little older, you realize that’s not true. The networks are in business to give people exactly what they want. That’s a far more depressing thought.
