Sorry, mobile carriers
I just noticed that I don’t give YouTube nearly enough credit, mentally-wise. I never noticed before how much I take for granted nowaways that I can watch any music video I can think of on a whim.
Now even on long subway rides thanks to a 3G mobile phone. That is pretty damn amazing, coming to think of it. Seems I owe the German mobile carriers an apology for making fun of them for eight years.
Blowing 100 billion (milliard) Euros on a license auction always made me suspect that they fell victim to their own, over-imaginative propaganda.
While there may still be a grain of truth to this, I haven’t been this excited about something related to online since the original web back in the nineties.
